Save the Date: The Annual Great Chowder Cook-Off Returns This June

You don’t have to travel far to find a cup of life-altering clam chowder in the City by the Sea. In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to find a menu without a steaming bowl of the creamy delicacy chock full of fresh-from-the-ocean clams. But what’s even better than a bowl of clam chowder is multiple bowls of clam chowder right at your fingertips. Keep ’em coming!

The 35th Annual Great Chowder Cook-Off returns with endless samples of both traditional and reinvented clam chowder creations. National and regional competitors compete to craft the best chowder while you sample to find your favorite.

The original and longest running event of its kind in the nation  the Great Chowder Cook-Off welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors from near and far every summer.

When: Saturday, June 18, 2016
Time: 12pm-6pm (Early entry at 11am for Chowdahead Ticketholders)
Where: North Lawn, Fort Adams State Park


Chowdahead Club Ticket: $20 (see below)
Advance Price: $20, go on sale after Chowdahead tickets sell out, available through June 17th
Day-Of: $25
Kids: Kids under 12 are free with a paying adult

Your ticket includes all-you-can-eat chowder samples, live entertainment, kid’s activities and sponsor sampling. Food & beverage is available for sale.

The Chowdahead Club is an exclusive pass for hardcore Chowder Cook-Off fans! Membership grants you access to the Chowder Power Hour, a one-hour preview event from 11am-12pm before the gates officially open to the public. Members can navigate the event before the crowds arrive, meet the chefs, greet participating team members and get the very first tastes of the 2016 chowder creations.  Tickets are valid for all day access, 11am to 6pm. Kids under 12 are free with a paying adult.
